I've been struggling with a cold idle issue on my 2001 V6 XLT (129K miles) for quite awhile. New IAC, new plugs/wires. I've held off on replacing the intake seals/gasket cause the shop does not think thats the issue.
One thing I have found, is that if I get a bad idle at cold start up .......... if I turn the key off, then start it up again, it almost always starts good.
Does this provide any clue as to what the problem is ? Its kinda like something needed to 'initialize', was stuck, etc. Any thoughts ?
