4.O Idles very rough (it feels like the engine is gonna shake itself out) so far I have cleaned the MAF sensor, changed the plugs and wires and checked for vacumn leaks. Only questionable thing I have found so far is when I removed plugs #2 & #4 they seemed to have raw fuel on the electrodes. This engine has 135000k on it. Thanks for any tips Jon

I don't know the answer to the problem, but I am just subscribing to the thread. My truck runs a little rough when at an idle, but not very bad. People ask if it has a cam in it.

sounds like its not getting proper spark in those cylinders.........

Have you tried cleaning/replacing the Idle Air Control?

Same Problem

Also anybody have any idea what might be causeing my explorer to have a rough idle when engine is warm, after I rev-it for a minuet or so it goes away, I have checked the fuel pump pressure and I have cleaned the MAS.

Thanks Lots!

idle air valve

I have not checked or cleaned the idle air valve. Where on the engine is it located? thanks Jon

Sorry i have not checked the idle air control

I believe it is on the throttle body. run a search for IAC and you'll find lots of posts about where it is and how to clean it.
