just had my ford explorer eddie bauer V6 flex engine newly overhauled by local Ford dealer. already changed the ff.
piston rings
valve seals
new cylinder head gaskets with new cylinder head bolts
all new injectors
all new spark plugs
retiming.

my car is still at ford dealer repair shop but they seem not to know anymore to solve the rough idling.
the engine engine runs smoothly after newly started but after awhile the idling gets rough.

Guys can you help?

Thanks in advance.

Wow, don't know where to start. If the dealer can't figure it out, your in trouble.

They need to fix it. Even if it means comping you a new (remand) engine.
You may need to contact Ford and take it elsewhere.

See about a rental car in the mean time.

Thanks Number4.

today November 2, 2015, they ford dealer told me that i may have to change power control module (pcm) . wow!!! price is about 1/3 the cost of my car. but before that they said they will try to reprogram so i had to give them my spare key.I keep my fingers crossed and hope they can finally make my Explorer run smoothly.

anyhow since my car was already at their shop for some months and still they are trying to figure out what is the problem, with their hit and miss system, i already bought a used BMW which cost less than the total running cost for the repair of my ford explorer which still increasing. The used BMW in running well and i am fully satisfied. i might buy another BMW. Surprisingly, the parts cost/servicing of the BMW is much much less than my ford.
