I was wondering what the difference in the rough road springs vs. standard. Is it a better ride on gravel in comparison? because I want to keep my 02 relatively stock, but maximize it's relatively smooth ride, as I live in an area with many gravel roads and rough pavement.
Which also leads me to my next question, what are the best replacement shocks with full length of travel? The best I could find on the aftermarket with the specs companies give out was Monroe Sensa-tracs with just over 6" of total travel and KYB Excel-G's with just under 6" of total travel. Most other companies list maybe 2-4 inches of travel total and that concerns me for many reasons. Do the Mastercraft or OEM shocks have more travel?
So should I get better shocks with less travel or stick with cheap and longer travel? Is it worth trying to find rough road springs? I'm pretty new to Fords and need all the help I can get with info on them.
