Just some tips for someone who want's to remove their running boards. The speed nuts that hold the brackets to body will split and break. At least the first two I tried to remove did.So I unbolted the running boards from the brackets leaving the brackets on the body.I used MAP gas on the rusty bolts but it will bubble the paint but it's getting painted over with Chassis Saver so it didn't matter to me.Now you'll have plenty of room to access the speed nuts.Start to loosen the bolt until the nut turns and touches the body then stop. Now take Channel Locks or Vise Grips and squeeze the flat parts of the nut together to keep them from tearing apart and breaking. Now for all the holes take all the plastic clips/holders off and cut the large rectangle part off flush above the round flat thin part(if you didn't ruin them). Now you have free thin plugs for the holes and just use some clear silicone to seal them tight to the body.
