I dont know the solution, but it will tend to run hotter because there is less airflow across the radiator

Please help me!! I had a 3" body lift installed the other day, and it looks great!! Now my Explorer is running hot!!! It started doing it today. I flushed the radiator out and put in new coolant, still running hot. The body lift did move the fan lower on the radiator, could this be a problem?? I did drive it a few days with no problem after the lift was installed. Does anyone have any answers for me? Please help me.
Thanks,
SnapNek

Thanks for all the help. I had the fan clutch replaced, still ran hot, i had the thermostat replaced, and a wire spring put in the bottom radiator hose to stop it from collapsing. Something worked, it runs cool again. Not sure if it was the thermostat or the hose. Thanks again for all the help.

give it the hairy eyeball...

Look close, top and bottom, for anything that may have changed during the body lift. To good possibilities are: Your fan is hitting the bottom of the shroud. Or, one of the radiator hoses is kinked or pinched.
Did you relocate (lower) the shroud? If not, I bet that's the problem.

Dumb question, but is the fan spinning? I know when I did mine, the fan rubbed on the transmission cooling lines and wouldn't sping. If the fan clutch is burnt out, you wouldn't know it wasn't spinning while driving. The fan shroud is more for protection while the fan is moving than airflow. I ran mine without a shroud for months here in SW Florida and never had a heat problem. You may want to check the thermostat. When moving the hoses, something may have gotten into the t-stat and it isn't opening anymore...
