Hey guys, i have a 1998 ford explorer with the 302 i just put a trans and upper/ lower intakes in about 8000 miles ago and it has just recently thrown a code saying bank 1 and 2 are running lean. if anyone has an idea what this might be throw it out there,

Thanks!

Just an idea, but try changing your fuel filter! 13 bucks for re-assurance is a good thing

well so far ive done the fuel filter and air filter, injector cleaner checked for broken vaccume lines nothing.

Ok, i did some quick reading around. What is happening is your O2 sensors are reading that there is too much oxygen in the exhaust, so you are getting extra air in your system somewhere. Go get some Mass Air Flow sensor cleaner and clean the heck out of your MAF. If that doesnt work you have a vaccum leak somewhere so check your vaccum around the engine and the pcv valve. For it's location see this thread: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=211234. If that doesnt do it re-do both upper and lower intake manifold gaskets.
