There are a few rubber plugs on the bottom of the dash that you can run through. The easiest thing I could suggest is to wait untill night time and put a strong light in the engine compartment. Then go into the cab and look for light. that is how I found the plugs, the light shines through those enough that you will be able to find them. Once you find one you can pop it out and you got a hole stright to the through the firewall. I belive mine was right behind the gear shift and behind the heater box. Hope that helps.

Clever idea, EB! Have to remmeber that one.

Small drilling required but it is great. I drilled 1 hole in the passenger side floorboard right by the body mount. Slipped the cable through there and ran it on top of the inner fenderwell and I drilled 2 holes right next to each other on the plastic inner fenderwell and put a ziptie around the cable so it wouldnt hit an exhaust manifold or somethin. But the two holes are to tie the cable to the fenderwell. Then run it to your battery. You may want to get something long and flexible, I used a fishing pole. And fish (no pun intended) it down towards where you drilled the hole in the floorboard, put the cable in there and pull it up, then, of course tie it down, but I forgot to mention the fishing pole deal. I hope you get what I mean. Ask me for more questions if you need them. Don't worry about drilling the hole, it shouldn't be big, just somethin big enough to slip the cable through, unless you were running multiple wires, thne you could get a rubber grommett and put it in the floorbard and run the wires through it.

yeah i had to drill to run my 4 gauge wire through there. I was pretty easy to hide the wire though. Just start taking up carpet and try your best to shove your wires under there. good luck

I could've sworn I had responded to this but I guess not. Anyways, don't feel terribly bad abut drilling holes in the firewall. YOu can either use a grommet, or 3M makes a rubber compound product that you a caulk gun to apply, get that stuff in there, its better then a grommet in my opinion. Serves the same function but remains flexible throughout its life etc. I have about 5 or 6 new holes drilled in my firewall as my calculations go with all the different wiring running through there. One thing I found that Dick Cepek did while installing my rear ARB locker that Im now very pleased with is that they went ahead and drilled some extra holes, grommetted them, and went ahead and brought in the wires for the front locker, even though I didn't purchase one. So when I add an ARB front locker if I decide to do that, won't have to re-run all the wiring from the compressor. just hook up another air line to the locker, and hook up the switch in the interior! Might be doing that soon... I've also got tons of wiring going through for the lights, plus one 4-guage wire going to a fuse panel in the back, and of course the 8-guage wire for my amplifier and a few other misc. wires. So... don't be afraid, drill away :).

I have a 2 inch hole drilled on the drivers side right under the steering wheel and I have a 4 gauge power wire, and a couple 10 and 12 gauge wires going through for lights, alarm, etc. and no problems. I would say go for it and keep the wires away from the underside of the car. But i think the passengers side is a better idea because it is a straight line to the battery.
