ok as you have read in the title that is my prob.
I changed the fuel filter and been running 93-94 octane, used fuel injector cleaner and dry gas. when i hit the gas lightly to moderately sometimes i begins to bog down and jump in rpm but then bog back down ill let go of the gas give it a sec then it will be fine. Its like there is no response to the gas peddal while this is going on. if im at a lite and it starts to act up it slowly starts idleing less and less until it finally stalls...
what do you think it could be???

Help... its getting worse!!!

Maybe the fuel pressure regulator?? I've read around here that when that thing starts going bad, it can cause all kinds of problems. Have you noticed the truck burning more gas than normal??

Did your mechanic mean TPS (Throttle Position Sensor)? I haven't read about a TPI around here before. If that's what he meant, then, yes I've also read about folks having trouble with that going bad as well. But I'm not sure if that would cause the type of problem you are having.

Sorry... your right ...TPS, i dont know why i put tpi..
as far as gas goes hard to tell, been trying to burn gas on purpose (thought i had a bad tank of gas) and i just got bigger tires

TPS is a good place to start. May also want to check the Idle Air Control.

Glad to hear it! Pretty easy fix huh?

Why would this happen to me again after a year???? im going to change out the same part again tomorrow hopefully it will fix it???
any insights???
its pissing me off

ok.. i swapped out the old TPS for a new one...and added a bottle of STP injector cleaner... we'll see if that does it...

Glad to hear you are getting ahead of the problem. I had similar symtoms on my 4.0 '91 and chase out every sensor having to do w/ air and fuel and ran a COMPLETE fuel system check from the pump to the injectors.
My brother mentioned, "the ignition module is probably shot."
Sure enough, I replace the part from AutoZone for $134
and it cured the bogging and stalling immediately.
On yeah, since the module is mounted on the frame behind the headlight in front of the battery, the connection to the wiring harness needed cleaning of much water corrosion. I didn't think that stream was THAT deep.
