I have a 1998 Ford Explorer this not running very well
I added new plugs and wires in it still doing the same thing
Happened to order a mass air flow sensor a couple days ago and it just came in put it on and it still running rough
I've got a new coil pack coming in a couple of days I'm hoping that'll fix. I think that'll fix it is because a couple of cylinders don't seem to be firing.
Next will be the injectors I'll go ahead and take the manifolds off and reseal those too while I'm at it
If anybody has any cheaper ideas please let me know thank you

is the check engine light on ?

if so get the codes read and post them here,.
we can help sort them out for you ,,

welcome to the forum,

Just put in a new coil pack on my 98 Ford Explorer and it didn't help still running rough
Erase the codes I shouldn't have done just to see if it would help clear it and bring back a different code so it will be a day or two before I can tell you what the codes are thank you for your response I'll let you know in a day or two

As I stated above I added new spark plug wires
For the third time in for some reason they're real tight around the engine and I don't think they're the right size
Put a new fuel filter on that didn't help at all the codes are 153 and 304
I know I need a new oxygen sensor on both banks and I also need probably a new fuel injector
Check engine light is obviously on if I add power going uphill the check engine light flashes
I think it needs new oxygen sensor and its got a couple one or two clogged fuel injectors or maybe not working at all what do you guys think

I fixed what was wrong with my 98 Ford Explorer
You're not going to believe what the problem was
I told my dad I was still having a problem
He said if you have a 304 code want to switch your spark plugs out and see if one of your new plugs is bad rather than do that I just bought a new plug thinking that maybe you maybe it was bad didn't think it would work
The brand new spark plug the Mastercraft plug that I put in was bad I put a new one and gapped it 51 it runs like a brand new.
Thank you for your help I still gotta shut the 153 code off and I'll see if the 304 is gone and o2 sensors are next and hopefully that light it will be out for good
