S.O.A i need some help

The guy that is going to do my welding wanted me to find out if the axle housing is cast or steel. So if any one knows please let me know

The center section (diff) is cast, the tubes are steel.
Assuming by SOA, you're welding spring perches onto the tops of the axle tubes, you have no worries.

Sounds like you need someone else to weld it up!
