safari bar on 95?

ok, i have this friend with a 95 2x4 xlt. he has been looking at the westin safari bar, but the packaging says it will only fit the 96-2k models. what the deal? shouldnt it fit the 95's also? is this just a typo or can it be rigged up to fit a 95? why wouldnt it fit? sorry for all the questions, but he wants to know and he would ask himself but doesnt have a computer.

i dont see why it wouldnt fit the 95. they have the same basic frame so i dont know. i have one on mine and it bolts right up to the radiator housing. (the plastic thing that goes around the radiator. except the stupid people at the ford dealer didnt bolt it back right when i blew my extra transmition cooler lines.

I put one on my 95 and the only reason it says 96 and newer is that they have the holes already in the frame for it to bolt on. I had to drill 2 holes into the frame for one of the mounts. Go tothis thread where I explain it better and there are the instructions I scanned from Westin:
