I have an '02 Sport.. 2wd.
Now I like to go down the beaten path once in a while and I like to go out into the sticks.. and always I keep in mind the fact that I am in a 2WD and stay clear of 4x4 roads.. With that said.. I also use the Explorer on the weekeds to tow the bikes or canoe or just to go places.. 90% highway 10% fun on the backroads kindof rig... It came from the factory with the Cross Terrain Michellens of course.. 235/75/16 blah...
Of course just for the sake of looks I want to go bigger with the tires.. but since I still drive the thing on the highway mostly and for sake of mileage.
1. should I stick with the all season type of tire
2. would the Off road A/T type of tire just be a waist.
Looking at Dunlop or Pirelli.. 255/70/16s
