satellite radio antenna placement

got all the stuff needed for my Alpine HU to get sirius but was wondering where you all might have put or tried the antenna(locations) Did any one get an after market antenna??( the stock sirius one looks crappy) comments? thoughts..advice . also where to mount the interface box?? thanxx:exp:

I have the stock antenna wich is a 1'x1'x1/4' magnet. Have it mounted to the roof right above the center of the windshield. Ran the antenna wire along the door jamb and tucked it up in the windshield trim. Its not that noticeable and no antenna wire is exposed on the outside of the vehicle.

I have the head unit mounted on the far left side of the winshield with the suction cup attachment. Works for me.
