What to look out for, what to get, what to avoid.
My oldest son has a perfect 2003 Edge extended cab 4dr with 50K miles that has never had anything other than routine service. Even has the original battery, tires, and brake pads.
My half-brother inherited a 96 or so that, although a little rough, has over 225K miles on it and has never had major service.
My Father in Law has a 98 that has over 250K and is pretty much all original.
I work with a couple of guys with mid 90's ones with a ton of miles on them.
Seems like these Rangers are nearly bullet-proof.
Thoughts on buying a new 2010? Lots of good incentives out there right now by Ford and others.
(BTW, I have been on the 2002-2005 Explorer forum for almost 10 years)
