SCT Extreme Tune Software

Have any of you used SCT's Extreme Tune software? Have you had any difficulties?

The software is available for download from SCT at http://www.sctflash.com/xtreme.php They released a new version today.

I am having problems trying to load new programs in my Micro Tuner.

SCT has forums on their site ( http://www.sctflash.com/xtreme.php ) for users of Flashers and chips.

I downloaded the new version and it works exactly like the older version: it doesn't.

When I hit the read program files button, nothing happens. Nor does anything happen when I hit Program MicroTuner button.

The MicroTuner screen reads " serial port open"; I am assuming the cable is allowing a connection to my PC.

Ideas?

You don't have a programming cable yet, or atleast the one you've gotten from me isn't there. So I'm trying to figure out how you are loading your newly modified program into your micro tuner?

I have another cable, Doug, and yes the one ordered has not yet arrived.

Ohh ok, yeah they were out of them at SCT when I placed your order but assured me they would have it out as soon as they came in.

Anyway, goto " setup" at the top of the screen and then "X-calibrator port setup" and ensure your setting is at Com port 1.

How old is your other cable? Does the electrical cord plug into it or is it made into it? If it is made into it do you have the seriel converter?

I've just tried to use the program with the software into a Micro tuner and it's working for me.

Doug, with my PC, the cable is set up for Com 4 and appears to be "talking".

Yes, the cable is the "new" one as you described.
