Windows couldn't find/install the drivers for my SCT x3 and I cant find the tune loader software at the SCT website. Shipping this thing to and from the tuner to get a new tune is getting ridiculous.

btw, i can't find my envelope that contains the x3 manual and installation disk.. the user manual was easy to find but the livewire software/programmer software is one hard thing to find.

let me now if this thing is in the wrong forum section so I can move it.

TIA!

Did you look in the right place on the website? I have a 3015 and my friend has the x3 both of us have win 7 and installed and used the sct drivers from the website with no problem.

here is a link to the place to get livewire, the updater, drivers, etc. for the 3000 x3 all you have to do is type in your device serial number in the box and it gives you everything you need.: http://www.sctflash.com/tsupdates.php?PNID=3000&GUD=1&GSER=1

here is a link for the sf3 3015: http://www.sctflash.com/tsupdates.php?PNID=3015&GUD=1&GSER=1

EDIT: make sure you uninstall the drivers that windows tried to install, and I would recommend that you uninstall whatever livewire or updater software that you have installed and download the most up to date one that they give you on the site.

PS: your tuner should have explained this to you... shipping that thing back and forth is just fu****g ridiculous!!

yep, i looked at the same place (the link that you posted). I've got the device updater but without the proper windows drivers for the x3, the program can't recognize the device.

The sct website specified that it should load/install the drivers for their x3 when you plug it in for the first time in win7. It did try and it failed to install the said drivers.

Do you have a direct link where i can download it and manually install them?

Had the same problem with lack of the cable. Went to their site and pulled the updates, make sure you have the right device. Did that a few times before I realized I had the wrong drivers.

device is sct x3 power flash for ford p/n 3000.

still looking around for the win 7 usb device drivers with no luck.

I called customer service and they emailed me the new tunes and drivers for my 02 xlt. And it works fine on Win7.

I have successfully been using SCT's software on Win7-64 bit successfully for over a year. Don't know who the tuner is but they should have known that SCT changed the drivers about a month ago. You have to uninstall the old drivers and reinstall the new ones. As far as the disc, never use it! When you get it the drivers and software are out of date. When a customer orders a device from me it has the latest tune and firmware revision. I have a really nice attachment on where to get all the information needed to install everything.-j

pro racer on win 7 64 bit

How do you get win 7 64 bit to run proracer software?
Is there a download from SCT?

If you're having driver issues, you won't find them on SCT's website. What you'll need to do is click on the start button in the lower left hand corner of your PC monitor, on vista/xp you'll see "My Computer", on WIN7 you'll see "Computer". RIGHT click on whichever applies to your operating system and a menu will drop down. Look for "manage" and LEFT click on it. There's going to be another box that appears called "Computer Management". In that box you'll see "Device Manager", LEFT click on that. If device updater is properly installed you'll see something called "Jungo". Click on the little arrow to left of it and open it up. You should see SCT Drivers V10.11 and depending on your device. X3/SF3 devices should appear as X3P Device, iTSX and Livewire TS devices should appear as iTSX Device. If those aren't listed, look under "Other Devices" X3/SF3's with outdated drivers will appear as SCT 3.0 Device and have a little yellow circle with an exclamation point in it. Right click on it, select "update driver software". It should ask you if you want to search automatically or search you computer for the drivers. Select search automatically and windows will find your drivers and install them.
