When adding seafoam to the oil, do you do it before, drive for a while, then change the oil, or do you add it to the oil while changing it? Also when adding to gas tank, does a full pint seem like too much if you are going to fill the whole tank?

I know this is a popular subject but I cant find any specific info on exactly how to use it...I'm scared to death to try to get it into my crankcase.

any help would be great, Thanks.

1/3 in the oil, 1/3 in the intake and 1/3 in the gas. You're suppose to put it in the oil before you change it. I know there is a long thread on it. I haven't used it myself but am getting a can of it tomorrow. So I'll look up the thread real quick too.

I used some of this stuff not long ago, but I believe it should have directions on the can. For the oil, you might want to put add it to the oil a day or so in advance and drive the car like you would normally. Then, within the next couple of days, change your oil.

For the fuel, no, it isnt too much if you get a full tank.

Those are directions straight from SeaFoam

They way I read to use it in the crank is run it for 1500 miles, drain it, fill it up with oil again, (reg change) then change the oil again at 500 miles. Then switch back to your reg oil change schedule. Can get expensive if you run syth. I personally never put it in the crankcase and prob never willl, never had an engine old enough.
