So if it is sealed how am I suppose to check it or change it.. who can do this?

Another major change is in what cannot be found under the hood - a dipstick. The new transmission is sealed at the factory with 11 quarts of a semi-synthetic blend of specially formulated fluid that should not require service for 150,000 miles. This is a benefit to owner convenience and the environment

Most lube shops or dealers can quickly change all 12qts of fluid via machine, though some require you have a tranny fluid cooler so they can tap into those lines. Otherwise you can drop the pan and put in a few fresh quarts at a time, there's penty of threads around here about the process. From what I've gathered and based on the blackened condition of my fluid at 111k, 150k is too long to wait. For sure consider it if you're above 100k.

So if i drop the pan and change the filter, how many qts should it take, doing it that way would keep mos the fluid in the torque converter right?
