Hi everyone,
Has anyone had any luck replacing a drivers side seat cushion? My 98 EB has only 50k on it but the seat is showing some definate age. By the way, I'm not a big guy (180lb) so I was really surprised to see this happen so soon. I found a replacement cushion from Torri at fordpartsnetwork.com but have no idea how hard or easy it would be to replace. Any thoughts?

They were no problem to replace in my '94. Just four wide plastic hooks, one on each side.

The foam pad got pushed into the springs. On the replacement cushion I added a heavy cloth between the foam pad and the springs to distribute the forces of the springs.

I had removed the seat from the tracks to get better access to the plastic hooks.

The pivot bolt, located on the drivers side, for the seatback had to be removed to get the cushion over it. I could not remove the bolt securing the seatbelt to the frame so I had to work around that.

Instead of getting a replacement cushion, just buy a <$20 eggcrate blue foam sleeping pad and cut to fit...
soooooooo comfy

100K miles and my driver seat seems "flat" and not cushy. So I need to find some egg crate foam and fabric to put on the spring side?

Does anyone have any more info on this repair? How thick should I get? Does the seat need to be removed? What holds the leather on? Hog ties?

I replaced mine not to long ago came out really nice there are pics on the site somewhere.

I need to replace my drivers seat cushion too. How much does an OEM one cost?
