Can anyone tell me if the front seats from an Explorer will fit into my Ranger? I'd really like to find a pair of Leather buckets from an Eddie Bauer, and change them over. I'd also like to know if the door panels will work as well?
Yes and no. Explorer seats are not a direct bolt in.
I was going to swap the seats out in mine, and determined that for it to work, I would need to use the Ranger seat brackets, and make a adapter bracket to mount the Ex seat. Not rocket science, but not a 5 minute job, either.
I was looking at my girls ranger when I was in Canada and her seats look the same as the ones I took out of my '97 Explorer. I swapped out my old fabric seats for ones with the headrests in, so I could install screens..
it's probably gonna be a case of mixing and matching bits till you get the combo right
I have just put a set of buckets from a 94 explorer into my 93 Ranger Supercab. The driver side seat bolted right onto the existing rails. The passenger seat had to have the rear set of mount holes tapped to fit the rails' The holes are already drilled and just need to runa tap through them. I am looking to run power wire to to each. I am pretty sure I'll be able to mount the power base from the drivers seat in place for the whole power set up. Not sure if naming other sites is allowed but check TRS(The Ranger Station) and there is an entire section on seat placement and swaps.
I think that with a little work any seat would fit - about a year ago I have installed a Cherokee seats in my 91 "X". Had to drill some holes and use some spacers but other than that worked like a charm... and for some reason I liked those Cherokee seats better than the "X" seats...
i went to this place that specialize on ford and they were going to give me a passenger seat from an 03 xlt explorer so i was wondering would it fit my 01 sport.
