Seat Swap: '00 XLT Power seats into '02 XLS?????

Sorry for the cross post but I just saw this section....

I have a '00 XLS with the crappy flat seats and I want to replace them. I found a yard with very nice cloth XLT seats that have power features.

My question is:
Is the wiring already there in my XLS to plug in the XLT seats?

Has anyone done this?

Is wiring a pain?

If you mean 2000 model into 2000 model( it says '02 in the title of the thread), then the seats should bolt right in.

As for the power, there would be a large fuse for power seats if the wiring was there. Check the main power box, and if it is not there, you are SOL for an easy hookup.....
