After binding for a time the drivers electric window on my '94 limited has now stuck solid. The relays clicking and the motors getting red hot, but nothing al budge it. Ive tried coating everthing inside with WD40 but it didnt work.

Does anybody know an easier way of loosening of the glass, or taking apart the mechanism in the door. Trying to work inside the door is a real headache !!!

In a Pontiac the window was stuck down and I reversed the polarity on the motor and used the down button and it went right up!

Could be any number of things. So I'll list what I know from easiest fix to hardest:

1. Slam the door and hold down the switch. (Crazy but it works when mine bind on my 95X)

2. Mess with the crossbars on the inside. Sometimes they bind up, so lubricate liberally.

3. The bearings in the motor have disentegrated. Sounds stupid, but Ford uses nylon bearings. Replace them with metal bearing from a hardwear store and re-grease it.

Hope this helps!
