Dropped my 2011 EX limited off to get first oil change, the A-pillar fix, and the Rain noise fix.

First, I made an appointment tuesday to drop the car off today, so that they can reserve enough time for me to get my car back today. Showed up today, sorry you don't have any appointments.

After I carefully explained "again" what needs to be done (since I did all these when making the appointment), the guy dare to ask " Do you really have these problems, or you just read it on the internet and want them fixed?"

Seriously? for the rain noise, every pre-fix EX is made in the same way, all i am trying to do is to save him time so that they can apply the correct fix Ford issued.

You need a different service advisor.

I fired my local VW dealer over the attitude of their service "advisor". Stand your ground and remind him (and the dealership GM) who the customer is and who provides the $$ for his paycheck.

What dealership are you using? Im in the DFW area too and have had mixed results with two different dealers.

If he made a smart comment like that to me, I would have made it apparent to everyone, and got him fired. Call customer service and his manager and everything. They need to compensate for you or you might as well go to another dealer and say you will tell the whole community about how bad the service in that dealer is. I would have made the biggest racket because they are supposed to be polite, and professional, especially since you paid 40K plus for that vehicle and it's giving you the biggest headache of all. You're the customer and they need to do it right.

Had the same reaction from a Mazda dealer, I guess the internet and the info it provides is their kryptonite

The internet and especially this " social network " carry alot of weight. The best advertising is word of mouth. Used to be word of mouth. Now it's cyber and reaches millions of viewers. Type Ford Explorer in google and you will definitely see this site pop up. Lot to be lossed and alot of people to keep happy. They don't want this beautiful vehicle going the way of it's predecessor. The Exploder. So far they have held up their part of the bargain. My A Pillars are still causing me grief. But we'll see what happens. I think the last time was just bad installation. I love this vehicle. Can't wait for the new update. Oh by the way. When I was speaking on the phone with the Ford of Canada rep. This social network we are one right now was mentioned by him. Thanks Cory and Rebecca.

Bankston. LMAO. GOOOOOOOGLE

went to pick up the EX and talked to a different advisor, totally different experience. Jeff told me they can't reproduce the Rain Noise problem since it is not raining and I told him about the TSB. I had the printout with me so I showed him.
He was very nice and told me he understand what to fix now, and offer to do it next monday. I told him cool, but it is not too important for me to fix it right the way and I will just do it next time I am in for service.

I guess there are good, and bad advisor that can work in the same dealer.

Will definitely only talk to Jeff from now on.

And/Or Dealer needs a different service advisor or 1 less service advisor....

Had so many cars and used so many diff dealers when I had to, amazing what nite n day differences service advisor's can be. Best Ford service advisor I ever used moved to diff dealers, so I took my Ex to wherever he went. Sadly, he is now at a Dodge dealership...

I had a good Ford service advisor but he left for a Lexus dealership late last year.

Hey buds.

Not being a smart ass or anything. If you look up top you'll see a bar that says search on it. Click on the search and then type in TSB or rain noise. That should help you find it.

Ah what the heck. Here I did it for ya. Took me 24 seconds
