service engine soon light keeps coming on 98 taurus

I need help about a month ago my service engine soon light came on, the code that came up was p0174 system too lean and p0171 well I was told it could be the mass air flow sensor well I put a new one on, disconneted the battery the light was off but the 5th time I started the car it came back on do I need the computer that reads the codes reset the fault or could it be something else.

Problems like that it's best to get in and do some electrical testing that requires proper scan tools, experience and service manuals. It can get expensive quick throwing parts at it.
