Service Manual on CD

Call me skeptical, but I am seeing these for sale on Ebay for like $20, advertised as being the same software the dealers use to diagnose/fix problems. I guess I am skeptical because the paper service manuals are $160 for both volumes and I would think they would charge more than just $20 for the software. Is there a catch, or is it really as advertised? Lots of great info for only $20?

Buy it. I have one, they are filled with tons of info, and are Ford Factory Service. They make the Haynes and Chilton manuals look like a paperweight. Worth every penny of $20 IMO.

I think most are copies of the ford discs though ... but still usefull of you dont mind the copy .

I have both the CD manual and the DVD manual. Personally I like the DVD manual better, due to the fact that it covers more info. It costs a little more, but it's worth the money. Check it out on E-Bay by typing in Ford DVD.

Would anyone be willing to "share" a copy with me? Will be glad to provide ftp info for *.iso or such. Or we can trade other titles...

Please, do not treat post as a piracy, since it is not - I had a manual and misplaced the cd

I too have the Ford repair CD, right around nine bucks from e-bay if I recall.

Have looked at it but have not needed it yet.

Choc-full of info though. I would recomend it to any DYI folk here.

Got one, came cracked, the seller sent me out one free to replace it.

They look like they are just burned, but for $12-$20 I ain't gunna complain.
