My 2010 explorer 4wd v8 has this intermittent problem when driving. The service rsc light will come on with the wrench light and the traction control light. The truck will go into limp mode. This only lasts for about 10 seconds and the truck goes back to normal. I replaced the ignition coils on the left bank. The back left wheel bearing. I replaced the battery and alternator. I replaced some wiring housing. I do not know what else to try. I know there is some slight play in the front left wheel bearing but I dont feel like gambling $500. Any help would be appreciated !

Have you checked for any codes?

Did you inspect the tone rings on rear cv shafts? The 4th gen seems more problematic with corrosion causing the ring to come loose. Check those very closely, wiggle to see if loose.

Pull the coils on the passenger side and check the OHM's. should be around 2. if they are less than 1.5 replace.
