Service setting for heat/ac to only come on after 5 minutes?

Hi all!

Question for the service technicians or OBD (??) people.
Is there a setting for service technicians to not have the AC or heat kick in right away but only after 5 minutes?
I had my car serviced for heated seat issues and the works and ever since I got it back it only starts 'blowing' and warming up after 5 minutes.
Example: it's 32 degrees out, temp is set to 70 and 'AUTO', but nothing happens. Then after 5 minutes the blower will go higher and it'll start to warm up.
If I press the 'MAX air's for windshield within these 6 minutes nothing happens either.

Please, please, please tell me this is a setting and an easy fix. My preferred service is 40 minutes away and I can't have my car with them for a couple days yet again...

It should show in my info, but it's a 2016 explorer sport.

I don't know but that seems normal to me. The heater fan will come on faster when there is actually warm/hot air to blow. Otherwise it would be blowing cold air. My 2017 Platinum was like that. Always had it on 'Auto' and after driving a few minutes the fan would increase in speed.

It never did that for me before. Have had it since 2015 and I would have remembered from last year if it does that.
As said, even when set to 'MAX air's for the windshield the blower is not changing speed.

Edit: I just read the manual and found this:
"In addition, the fan may run at a slower speed until the engine warms up."

Maybe my new garage is just colder than the old one was...

You think the MAX windshield air has something to do with that too?

As for the Max windshield air, I can't recall if that should blow air strongly whether or not the engine has warmed up. I believe I've only used that once some time ago for condensation. Also, I have a different vehicle but am guessing it should operate the same way.

I think that is normal. When I remote start my Explorer it warms up. I get in, push the start button and drive. I turn on auto and it takes a few minutes for the fan to turn in high.

Thank you! Yes, whenever my explorer is outside I usually remote start too, but not in the garage.

I agree with what other's have said.
The slow fan start and ramping up as engine temp rises is exactly how mine works when set to AUTO.
Very cold mornings 0F (or below), it'll take a few miles before fan starts to increase and even longer before it's blowing max speed.
I usually crank up the temp to MAX on cold mornings and slowly turn it down once cabin is warm.

Just tried the max defrost. I warmed the car up for 10 minutes. Got in and started. Took 2 miles or a few minutes for the defrost to go max.

It really has to be my new garage being much colder than my former garage... I never noticed this behavior before and as said, bought it brand new in 2015.
Now questioning my memory...
