Alright, I'm not really a hundred percent positive on how to do some of the audio setup, but here's what I have planned:

HU:Alpine CDA-D853 CD Player
45x4 MOSFET
2 PreOuts

Speakers: Kenwood's KFC-6808C 6"x8"s
3-ways, 30-30,000 Hz

Amp:Kenwood Excelon KAC-X301T 2 Channel
400 watts x 1 in bridged mode
200 watts x 2 at 2 ohms

Subs:Bazooka RS104DV 10in Bass Tube(2)
10" dual voice coil woofer
frequency response 39-1,000 Hz
handles 250 watts RMS (each coil)
sensitivity 104 dB

I just want to know if this would be good, will it hit hard.

Just want to let you know, I like the bazookas because their cheap and they take up virtually no room!

i think it'll be a pretty decent system. it wont have amazing bass response, but it'll be a lot better than stock.

Should I save a little money and just buy one sub and just run all of the power to that?

Or buy a slightly larger amp?
Kenwood Excelon KAC-X301T 2 Channel
100 watts RMS x 2 at 4 ohms
400 watts x 1 in bridged mode
200 watts x 2 at 2 ohms

someone better write something!! I'm sitting at school with nothing to do and nobody writing anything!!! I don't car what you say, just throw some stupid suggestions out!

hehe...I'm bored

I got an Alpine HU too and I love mine, good choice!

espnfreak which HU do you have?

The Kenwood amp should be great but I would get away from Bazooka subs.......they sound ok but dont hold a lot of power.......I would get either a single sub or 2 subs. Try ebay. Ask Leenjen about his Audiobahn subs....they are bad and most Audiobahn stuff is reasonably priced. Good Luck.

Or else i could get one 12" or 15" sub and box.
Who recommends what for subs and where can I find good sub/box deals.

What about Kicker L5 12" sub! I think I can get one for about npthing because my friend wants to get rid of his

I have a friend who owns a Kicker L5 15" in a ported box. He has it in his 2002 extended cab Z71 pushing 400wx1RMS to it and it is louder than hell. Im in the process of putting a 15 Earthquake Magma in a ported box in my X!

that kicker subwoofer will sound much better then the bazooka tube

I had an amped tube for about 8 months and for my first sub ever it was the ****. But now in retrospect I realize I should've just saved up for a real sub and amp. The bazooka tube is literally a paper weight compared to my bahn. You get what you pay for!

hey man I can help ya

so what are you looking for? something that would pound or something with great sound qaulity, or a combo of the 2?? answer me this and I will tell you what I think. the best is to just E-mail mail me at Kirk_dunkley@hotmail.com I will help ya figure it out :) with cash to spare :)

Looking for compromise between price and quality. Something between stock and competition. Most likely I'll end up with a 12" Kenwood DB+. For $160

I'll also keep the stock speakers for now

I would try to go with Audiobahn, JL AUdio, Alumapro Alchemy, that Kicker sub, or another higher end sub. MY friends girlfriend has two Kenwood DB+s and has and old big ass rockford amp on them and they sound like loud mids! Dont compromise, hold out and save it will pay off in the future. Good Luck.

Just put up a poll in the Poll forum vote for what you want and if it's not there reply below!
Still looking to decide what sub I'm going to get! Still need help I'm most likely getting the Kenwood Excelon KAC-X301T amp. Want to spend no more than $225 for one 12" sub

I'm considering an all Alpine setup. Thinking of two 12" but need some space in the back of my eX. Any and all suggestions helpful.

go with all kicker stuff, if you want awesome sound quality, and lots of base go with a kicker L7 12", and a kicker kx 600.1 amp. Make sure you get a 1 farad cap
for punchy base make a 1 cubic foot sealed enclosure.
