Hi all, wondering if anyone has got an answer or point me to where to look. I just finished the water pump job on my 2013 explorer 3.5. started the truck up and a bunch or terrain management lights/ faults lit up on the dash. also there's a loud whining noise coming from the driver side transmission area. prior to doing the water pump job, had no strange noises or issues with the transmission. i never took the engine out to do the job, just did a few up and downs with the floor jack on passenger side to get some bolts in and out. I have no clue what could be going on.

If your battery is low the dash may light up like a Christmas tree after starting the car.

Did you put all the ground wires back? I took one off by the fuel rail when I did the waterpump.

At the least you need to check for codes using Forscan or other OBD2 reader

yes on all the ground wires going to have to scan it for codes later. Any idea on the noise from the transmission area?

Check the fluid. If you never done a drain and fill since you owned it that may be worth while. It will take you 5 minutes to drain and refill (about 4.5 qts)

The other thing you should look at is the PTU which bolts up to the transmission. Since you got AWD warning lights and whining noise it could be coming from there (they are notorious for grenading).

Get the code scanner on there before u take stuff apart or spend money
