Ok so I'm working on my trail rig and came across several issues I think you all can help me with.
1. Replacing parts on trail rig go with cheapest or lifetime warranty. i.e doing brakes get cheapest brake pads or lifetime warranty, also replacing wheel cylinders schucks 22.95 3 month warranty, napa 18.99 1 yr warr or 30.95 lifetime warranty. I picked up some from carquest 25.99 3 yr warranty.
2. I bought my first hi-lift jack today 48" for 49.99. I was looking at a set of jack stands 12 ton and they are nice and tall. Is 99.99 too much for these? I bought a set of 6 ton stands goes 24" for 29.99, but I want taller ones for future.
3. I am going to be replacing front superlift radius arms and all front bushings and ball joints.
a. Suggestions for best bushings: energy suspension, daystar, OEM (radius at least)
b. I've seen some that keep their suspension lifts painted red, blue etc. What do you think about painting these parts? Mine are all black, but thinking about painting them.
4. I am designing a snorkel for my trail rig. Its still in design stage using AutoCAD, and I plan on sending file out to have parts fabbed for it. I have been trying to find a rubber collar for snorkel to fender fitting. I want a tight fit. I was thinking of a rubber collar that has flange that I could mount on underside of fender. I'm thinking of something that looks by shape only like the metal flange used to connect a KKM to intake duct.
Well I have many other things running through my head but I guess I have asked enough for now
