What's up everybody. I am new as a member of this site but have been using it for a long time. My dad just now is letting me put a lift on it though but not much of one and I can't find anywhere if the warrior shackles cause the stock springs to flatten faster. Or would it be worth it to buy the OME-36 2" lift springs? Some feedback would be appreciated. Peace.

I don't think the longer shackles would cause the springs to flatten. I just think that the Ford springs are prone to flattening whether they have longer shackles or not. When you put the shackles on, you aren't changing the weight on the rear springs, only their angle of relation to the frame by a couple of degrees. That shouldn't cause them to flatten. If they flatten with the longer shackles on, they would have flattened without. Mine have been on for about 18 months now and my rear springs haven't dropped anymore in the last 18 months with the shackles on. My driver's side spring did sag quite a bit before I ever put the shackles on, but hasn't sagged since. It was when I put the shackles on that I noticed how much the driver's side was sagged compared to the passenger side.

ive got shackles and add-a-leaf. i plan on doing away with both and getting full length add a leafs. ( i only got about an 1.25" with spings and i have custom shackles that give me another 1") youll get better off road performance and towing capacity with the springs. i dont think that the shackles flatten out the springs quicker but they sometime slook funny especially with a body lift.

thanks for the quick replies guys. I will probably get shackles but could you tell me where I can get the springs or how much they are? and one more question... how is your body role and center of gravity with about 2 more inches? does it really make that big of difference at all? sorry for the newb questions, thanks

My lift actually stiffened the suspension up a bit, mainly due to the torsion bars. With the new stiffer, wider tires, it handled better than stock. Then I added better swaybars and swapped my leaf springs, and it handles really good for a lifted truck.

I think the OME springs are available through 4wheelparts and are about $400. You'll really like the ride with the new springs and TT.

so do the emu springs ride better than an add-a-leaf? how much rougher is the add-a-leaf than stock? my dad gets pissed about how much rougher it is than the tundra and he won't like it if it is too much rougher with the extra leaf. So does the 2" emu lift springs give u the lift and keep the ride? thanks
