Shackles Fitted

Yeah thats the thing- once you start...its hard to stop doing mods.........I noticed that my left rear tyre has not got much tread left before the wear indicator-of course the wife dont believe me as I have been on about bigger tyres for ages!
But I will start looking around on the net for ideas and see what fits- want a deep tread so I can off road when I want....I know I will have more noise- but thats a trade off I can live with. Thinking grabber or something like it!! Any suggestions guys??

My father in law brought a Ex with Grabber AT2s all round. His work vehicle is a 8 wheel 32 ton rigid tipper. For going in and out of the yard/work area they are great, hard wearing giving good traction off road, they are noiser than than the General Ameritracs on my North Face but not too intrusive. I might look at them when it's time to replace my tyres/tires. Grabber AT2s are not an uncomforable tyre either, with good compliance in the side walls. They are not bad on road either.

the centre part goes towards the bottom, so you've got the bigger gap at the top...

good luck!

doesn't take long to do... should have it done before tea time if you get cracking!

Thanks Si. Will have to wait until I have some time. The jobs are stacking up. I've got an axle seal gone so will do it all at the same time.

Well shackles are on. Need to move the height sensor. Did my leaking axle seal as well. So should be good to go.:D

nice one howard ,any pics? also wheres the sensor located please as i may move mine if easy enough cheers richard

ok ,thanks for link howard, how do you find the ride ?

Don't know about the ride yet. Will find out after moving sensor and getting some air in the shocks. Expecting to then have to raise the front slightly to get it level again. So far am up an inch or there abouts.

got bored today so i removed lower half of bumper and also the spot light mounts and lights also removed plastic cover for rads ,next on list is a winch mount and some recovery points ! looks kinda strange but i can get down steep banks without hitting anything now, before

after

ive now got 20" to underside of bumper i may add some spots at some point as the ones i removed are worn and horrid

That looks good mate- its true the first thing on a steep drop is the bumper scraps! Also Howard did you do the TT as well mate?

Hope you like the new place.

Yes did the TT otherwise she would look like a cheese wedge. Out today and the suspension light came on. Will look at moving the sensor at the weekend.

Mine has only come on once, when I dived into a deep pothole fully loaded up with the kit..I should do that asap really!

Guess we will be doing that job about the same time Howard- I have to put those new headlight bulbs in also- I am too lazy really!

After looking how it all works decided to just bend the upper bracket down and see how it goes. After a quick test all seems good but may need a bit more.
