I am experiencing a shake that can be felt throughout the entire vehicle anytime i exceed 65mph and it gets real bad past 70mph (feels like wheels are going to fall off. The inside half of my front tires have now almost worn while the outsides still look brand new (Tires are only 1 year old). I took it to my mechanic and he said everything looked fine but recommended i take it in to check the alignment and see if they can pinpoint something. While it was in the shop he replaced the front passenger upper and lower ball joints because it had a slight give (he didn't think that this was the source of my problem though).

Any ideas of what may be the cause of this shake and tire wear? Vehicle has 132,000 miles on it.

Appreciate your help. Thanks.

The ball joints being bad will cause the tire wear. Now they are fixed, if the tires are bad, new rubber and an alignment is probably all it needs..

I had the same exact problem with my 99 sport. After getting lower ball joints and inner tie rods replaced, I havent had an issue with that since. also got an alignment as well. still have a little shaking, but thats not until i reach 75-80 mph, which i dont normally do any ways.
