Shake under accel

Hello all,

Just purchased a 91 navajo AT with 108,000 on it. The abs and parking brake lights come on and shut off all the time. When i accel. it shakes violently and when i let off the gas it's like a brand new vehicle! Also was told when i bought it that the 4wheel doesnt work, and no lights come on when it's in N and i push it. The parking brake wont stay down either, so i assume its broke. Any info for me?

1st thing I'd check for a shake on acceleration would be the driveshaft u-joints.

1st thing I'd check on the 4wd is the shift motor (many discussions on this, including a good writeup in the useful thread forum, I believe).
