Thinking of getting the B&M Shift improver "kit", which actually just looks like a switch that plugs in somewhere, that must change shift points...?

Anybody use one of these or have any experience with them?

It looks cool b/c you don't have to dig into the tranny to install it...

I've actually been looking at these also. The kits are different for 94- and 95+ though. The older model kit uses a vacuum valve to essentially created a vacuum leak to make it shift harder. People have had problems with the controllers leaking and causing problems. However, the newer model kit looks like it's totally electronic. If so, it shouldn't cause any of the problems associated with vacuum modification.

I'm really interested in the kit (JEGS # 130-70381). If it works, it will make my supercharger that much better. I'm worried about my weak tranny being able to handle the power. The tranny is running really smooth right now, almost too smooth. You can barely feel the shifts at WOT. While this feels good, I can't help to think the slippage is really hurting the tranny.

What do you guys think?
