Had anyone experienced their shifter getting stuck in park when the outside temperture drops down pass 50F? If so, what was the fix, thanks. This has been happening on my 08 trac.

Yep, it a crappy actuator in the shifter. Ford wanted over 200 bucks for a replacement assembly as you cant replace the actuator alone. I said piss on it and busted off the tab that stops the shifter with a pair of pliers.

Thanks for the info TBT, can you tell me how to access this actuator. Is it under the truck or can you get to it somehow under the console?

Pop the console off.
If you pull the drink holder liner out of the console, there is actually a little black door you can open and jam a screw driver in there and pop the lock up manually. There are instructions in the manual somewhere for that procedure.

Took off the console this morning and found what you were saying. Everything is currently working; sprayed a little WD40 on the plastic plunger area. Will wait and see when the temperture drops..... Thanks again TBT for the info.
