i have a 97 v8 mounty and when being really easy on the throttle it seems like the tranny shifts into overdrive too early. the truck will struggle and jerk like my 5 speed sport would do if i shifted into too high off a gear. when it goes into overdrive and does this it is usually around or below 1500 rpms. why is it shifting so soon? if i get a chip will it solve this b/c i am planning on getting one anyway.
