2002 Ford Explorer XLT 4 wheel drive - control module for 4 wheel drive has long been out.

There's a back story, but I'll save you the details: I had the front drive shafts removed. I then removed the front CV axles. Both front wheel bearings have recently been replaced.

Now I've got a bad shimmy when I hit 70mph. Need help!

Get the tires balanced.

I spent a chunk of last summer chasing down a shimmy at 70mph. Replaced lower ball joins, Upper Control Arms, Tie Rod Ends and it didn't fix it. I neglected considering tire balance because the tries were brand new when I bought the truck.

Finally took it in for a balance and they were WAY out. Smooth as silk after.

Trust me, paying for a balance is way cheaper than throwing many at the rest of the front end.
