shock studs

I was repacing my front shocks on my 92 explorer and even though i soaked the studs on the bottom with penetrating oil for 20 minutes they still managed to snap off. I am wondering how to replace the stud. Is it just pressed in there or threaded? thanks for your help

Unfortunately it is part of the radius arm. Do a search to find out what others have done. I ended up cutting off what remained of mine and drilled it out and used grade 8 bolts. Do a search you can find bolt lengths and what size drill bit to use, its a big one, i reccomend getting 2 for the hard metal.
