Shopping for donor vehicle, how can I tell if it has a track lock rear end

Without crawling underneath it? Vin number? My 98 with the sohc has broke a chain so since I need the exhaust manifold because my current one has the cats cut out since they were clogged and my drivers seat handle snapped so I need a new power seat and I'm currently running an open rear end I have found a same year model with a blown tranny no radio and a broken hatch that would be a great donor vehicle. Thanks guys!
