Should I lift, or lower? or search? What are the pros&cons?

I wanted to originally lower my 95...but im having second thoughts now, I love driving bigger toys lol, and my 92 sits pretty big and beefy, but then my gf's uncle pulled up next to me in his stock 97, and that thing sits way higher than my 92...


What would be the easiest, cheapest way to go...and what would have to be done? Im not talking about like a 6" lift and a bodylift and all that, I mean just like + or - 2-3"

What do you guys think?

aerodynamically, lifting it would eat more gas and lowering it with appropriate front air dams and what have you can improve mpg's..

off road tires eats out mpgs too and you cant have a lifted rig without those.. road tires have better street/highway traction and lower rolling resistance due to it being lighter and less aggressive..

lifting it might net your overall weight to be heavier, again = lower mpgs.. that is unless you start removing several things and replacing it with lighter substitutes.. lowered ones get heavy too if you plan on having a big a$$ stereo system in the trunk..

lifted vehicles do not go well with speed.. higher center of gravity.. lowered ones however does better..

ride quality all depends if you have long travel suspension and dialed in suspension components like shock valving, etc. or just a TT and aal's for lifted trucks.. lowered street tucks have the same probability of having a bumpy ride due to shortened suspension travel and stiffer sway bars to aid in street handling..

the list goes on but it all depends what YOU want to have..
 






Both lifting or lowering cost relatively the same amount. With the front you will need to turn the torsion bars up or down and install a camber kit for alignment. The rears you will need to, depending on your springs, get a longer shackle to lift it or get blocks to lower it, if you have the monoleaf spring you simply just have to move the block from the bottom of the spring to the top of the spring. Its all personal preference. Good luck!!
 






TT/shackles, 3'' body lift and 33's are the way to go. :thumbsup:
