should you declare bigger tyres as a mod?

insurance is up for renewal and have fitted 265 75 16 insa special tracks on at the moment on a spare set of rims.do i need to declare them as the stock tyres are much smaller at 255 70 16? thanks richard

i had a mondeo 2 years ago with 225 tires compared to the standerd 205, i didnt declare, even after i wrote it off it didnt effect it at all.
 






i doubt they would even ***** an ex,they would just right it off straight away if you scratch it.and i doubt they would bother to check what tyres are supposed to be on it,and you can always say you believed them to be the correct ones.
 






i dont think it makes any differance unless your putting differant wheels on
might be worth checking with a insurance company

Dont give em a reason to charge you more mate-its true you would never get what its worth from them anyways so you may as well do what you want with the tires..who would know- after all the Ex is an alien to anyone other than an owner in the uk......KEEP SILENT AND ENJOY!
