Back Story
Had a blowout rear driver's tire. Pulled over took wheel off the jack rolled forward and the vehicle fell. It landed on the lower shock mount. I was able to change the tire and go home. It started after I had the blow out. Did I crush something under there that's important.

Now
The vehicle Jenks and shutters while at slower speeds mainly under 40 mph. Once you go over 45 or 50 it drives great. Took it to the dealer for the PCM update and they said I needed a new transmission for 10k.

I drove it there and I drove it 30 min back home. How can the trans to be bad and are they trying to screw me.

Any ideas

Your profile shows 2 vehicles. Which one are you referring to? How many miles are in the vehicle? If you're paying for the repair, I'd get a 2nd opinion before committing to anything.

Maybe you crushed your transmission oil pan or damaged your rear driveshaft when it fell. I don’t see the transmission being bad.

I'm wondering if we'll hear from the OP again or if it's another 1 post member? It's been more than 3 weeks.

Apologizes for the long period but, not a whole lot of progress was made and I have been outfitting a truck for our ESU team.

Ford even said that the trans was bad and quoted 10K to replace it. Is this a situation that I should ask for my money back for the diagnostic fee because they had it for a week and just said transmission. The mechanic at Firestone said he would write it up as a safety inspection or how ever many point check they do that the issue was a bad tire. Those guys are factory trained techs. Im a certified Harley tech and I know that the schools cant cover every aspect but tires are a big part of the course. I really want the tech to learn from this so maybe they conisder that if it happens again.

It's been SOLVED..... well for my situation anyway. I took it in to have tires replaced and what do know it drives great now. I have no idea on how that caused that. I mean this thing woulld violently shutter every time I took off.
