This happened once before, but dissappeared. When stepping on the gas (worse when going up a hill) the whole truck shutters, and i loose power. Then it goes away. Then a few minutes later it will come back. It does finally go away for the remaining of the trip, but very annoying. Any ideas as to what it could be?? Again it doesnt happen all the time.

Sorry I just read what I typed. Sounds like a 3rd grader typed it. Thats what i get for posting at midnight. :D

But does anyone have an idea??

tried cleaning the MAS?

Maybe the IAC too. When were the Plugs and Wires changed last?

plugs and wires were changed like 1000miles ago. And i recently took the IAC out and cleaned it. I will clean the MAS today. You think it could be the coil?

EDIT: Just talked to somone and we both came to the conclusion it sounds like the fuel filter. How hard is this to get off. I did a search but after 2 pages didnt really find what i was looking for.

A special tool is required to take it off. Its quite difficult. I eventually sucked it up and took it someone. $15 bucks later its changed, no gas on me.:D Bought the filter at Wal-Mart.

And i just did the same. Good thing too, when he popped the fuel line it must have spewed for a good 15 seconds.

try some seafoam

You might also want to check the vacuum tree on the near the firewall drivers side. Make sure all the lines are tight, and that you don't have an intermittent leak.

The problem seems to be rectified after replacing the fuel filter. It wouldnt surprise me if the one that came off was from the factory.
