I have a 98 explorerhere in the U.K. and my driver's side light bulb has gone out and I wish to replace it. I have looked for an easy way to do this but to no avail and it looks like I am going to have to remove the air filter box, can anyone tell me of an easier way of doing this ???

The side marker (euro blinker) lamp, headlamp, corner lamp?

I think it is what you call the corner light

If you search on this site for the installation of clear corners, the procedure will be similar.

Mark, it’s easy, i just did mine and i can see why you cant get it. Basically you need to open the cover on top of the light where the bonnet meets the grill, then your will be faced with two fillips screws simply unscrew. This is where i got confused as you really need to push the light form the inside out quit hard it should come free (its held in with some sort of clip so it need quit a bit of pressure). I didn’t want to force it at first but then figured it was the only way. There is absolutely no need to remove the battery or anything else for that matter.
Good luck.

just curious does anyone have a pic of the euro side markers? not the front blinkers but the ones on side located on top or near the front wheel wells.

me want me want!!! except clear. :D

Its funny i wish i had the US spec Explorher without the clears turn signals and side indicators.

hydroxy, it easy to do just drill a howl in the side of your Explorher and splice the indicator onto the existing indicator wire. I can have a look at the scrape yard to see if there are any and then send them to you but i will have difficulty finding any clear ones. I will probably not even find an Explorher in there anyway, as they are extremely rare over hear. However I might be able to find similar ones on a Euro ford. I will take a look next time I go there.
