Check out Ebay, Parts & accessories for Ford Explorer. If they dont have them now they do periodicly..

EB2K, check out http://www.Explorerexpress.Com, they have a few different types of running boards, and a rocker kit that covers the stock running board mounting holes, depending on which boards you buy.

i dont really want any more running boards. if i got any i would want some tube steps. do you think ford sells the skirts from dealers or something?

EB2K, if you are talking about Ford selling the tube steps, I'm sure they do, but you may find them a little cheaper from an aftermarket parts store. Check out http://www.PerformanceProducts.com, EBay, or Explorer Express. There are quite a few manufacturers of these steps on the market.

i know where to get the steps, i was asking about the ground effects that come factory on explorers. if i took the running boiards off mine it wouldnt look very good with the tan fender flares. i was looking for some side skirts to match the flares. do you think ford sells parts like that at the dealerships?

by the way, RytM1, your rig is pretty sharp! have you messed with the tires/suspension any? the front end looks like it has been lowered or something.

Thanks Grant. I think it's just the camera angle that makes the front end look lower (I changed to a better pic). The suspension and tires are still stock for now, although I'm debating on a torsion/add-a-leaf lift with some 31's. Definitely upgrading to some OME shocks in the near future though. I think the extra weight of the grill guard is taking its toll on the front shocks, although I don't go off-road too much. Now I have a clearer idea of what you are looking for, and I don't know of much out there. I'm almost in the same boat as you, I have stock running boards, but can't find fender flares that work with the stock boards. I think you are going to have a hard time finding something that will match up with the lines of the flares, without some custom work by a body shop. I don't think that Ford would have too many options either. Looking for the flares, I have noticed that not many manufacturers' parts are interchangable with others, if you want to keep a clean look to your truck.
