I have a 1998 Mercury Mystique that I bought 2 weeks ago, the car ran great (no problems) up until this morning when I started my car. The radio clock everything came on as normal but just before I went to set out to work the radio, clock, side view mirror adjuster switch, dome light, floor lights, visor lights, remote entry for the locks just shut off, and fail to work, no explanation. This afternoon I checked the fuses to see if any had blown but they all seemed to be in "new" condition, no melting, burning, or arc spot anywhere to be seen. I checked both fuses boxes (under the hood and inside the car). My radio is on it's own circuit. The lights are on the circuit with the side view mirrors and the clock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, any questions about the behavior I will offer my best explanation. THANK YOU...

Pull the stereo, and check to see if you lost the fused main power or the switched power? That might help narrow it down... browsing the schematic blind, nothing jumped off the page at me... I can't seem to find a common thread among the problems... So I looked at each power source individually:

Radio: CJB F32 7.5A, F34 7.5A
Clock: CJB F32 and F34 again
Side View Mirrors Switch: CJB, F19 7.5A, and a relay controlled by the central timer module
Dome Light: CJB F34 (7.5A)
Floor Lights: CJB F34 7.5A
Map Light: CJB F34 7.5A
Remote Entry: (handled by the anti-theft/central locking module which is fed from CJB F32 7.5A, F34 7.5A, and F25 20A.

I don't know about you, but I'm seeing a pattern: Looks like they all have Fuse #34 from the central junction box in common. Pull the fuse and look closely. Check the terminals in the fuse box with a test light, and check the fuse itself for continuity. Occasionally you'll get one that blows but doesn't look like it has.
