My weather map always centers over Western Nebraska when I first call it up, sometimes it will start to show my home location, but then quickly recenter itself over W. Nebraska. I then select current conditions or 5 day, where it always has my home location information, then go back to the map and it recenters on my home location (it will flash to W. Nebraska, but ends up on my home location). If I exit the weather map, back to any other function, then come back to the weather map it will once again center on Western Nebraska. It has done this ever since Christmas when I was in NE Colorado with family. I have upgraded to the new software and pulled fuse 29. I haven't yet yanked the battery cable.

Has anyone else had this issue and if you did, were you able to fix it with a battery cable pull? I am in South Central Kansas, so it is really annoying to always have the map default to the wrong area.

I have the same issue or similar. I have the new software upgrade. I am just above NY City in southern CT and my map now always seems to center on Boston with a big plus sign target cursor there. Have not been able to re-center it.

I have the same issue. I do not have the upgrade. I have had my EX for a year. It was fine until about three months ago. It did one of it's "planned maitenance" reboots and then started showing Ft. Wayne, Indians. After a few weeks it has shifted to Daytona, FL. I was hoping that the upgrade would fix it. If it doesn't, I'll try to get it addressed.

I discovered by accident how the weather map centers. It always defaults to the "area near my destination" regardless if you have a destination entered in the nav system. In other words, if you checked the weather on a trip and selected the area "near my destination" your weather map will always default to that city. The only cure is to set a new destination, preferably your home, then select weather, and area "near my destination." You can then cancel route guidance. Your map will now always default to your home city, unless of course you take another trip and want to check the weather near your destination.

It worked!!!!

My weather map has been in Indiana and florida, while I am in North Carolina. I tried your method today and it seems to work! Thanks for sharing your discovery.
