Travel Link Weather Malfunction

I have had my 2011 EX Ltd for ten months. This event happened today for the first time.

I am in North Carolina. When I called up the travel link weather map, the map that displayed was centered on Ft. Wayne, Indiana, not my location. This has happened every time today. My sync did "scheduled maintenance" yesterday.

When I touch the "current weather" button, my local weather shows, and if I then touch the "weather map" button, the weather map displays, centered on my actual location. However, if I get out of that and go back to the weather map (verbally or manually) wihout calling for the "current weather", it displays Ft. Wayne.

Has anyone else experienced a similar event? I don't know if it is a Sirius problem or a GPS problem.

On a humorous note. My wife was born in Ft. Wayne. Weird!!!

Same thing here Im in Philadelphia but it always centers on Cape May NJ. tried everything to reset it but no luck.

I live in Birmingham, AL and I have similar problem. Mine centers over Athens, GA

Live in VA and mine shows MD.

Mine did this the first time I used it and also the first one after a master reset. I played with the settings and set my local area and such and it's never done it since.

I tried several things, but I still end up in Ft. Wayne.

Yes, press the " i " at the bottom of the screen.

With those having this problem, does your navigation put you in the correct place on the screen?

I believe that what I did first was to set my home address in the NAV destination screen. Then when you click on the sirius weather, click "area", this brings up another menu that allows you to select several options. If you select "near my home" it should use the address that you programmed into the NAV destination. You should also be able to select "nearby" and it show the weather for your current approx. location. If I select "nearby" where I am currently, it shows weather for Los Angeles. Wheather I select "current", "5 day" or "map", all of it shows as Los Angeles. If I select "near my home" they all show Anaheim.

Mine does it as well. I have to go through the forecast or my weather map automatically to Chicago. I have the home address set too.

At least on mine that's the way it is, everything but the weather map is correct.

Has anyone had problems display the active radar? We had violent weather last Friday and the display showed nothing. Called Sirrus and they sent me an update signal. Worked till I turned the truck off after a restart nothing

I constantly have issues with the weather & other travel link services working. I'm hopeful that the MFT update fixes those issues as well.

I sometimes don't get the radar for a couple of minutes, but it usually shows up eventually. This doesn't happen a lot.

Yea, me to ..... Had to have The service dept do a hard reboot to fix a frozen screen.
